let's make sense of your past.

Have you, or are you currently experiencing, any of the following?

  • An overall feeling of being "on edge", without really knowing why?
  • Feeling overwhelmed by the demands of life
  • Struggling to connect in your personal relationships
  • Feelings of worthlessness
  • Low self-esteem
  • Recurrent emotional "triggers"
  • Feelings of anger or rage that you are unable to express
  • Overwhelming fears of people leaving you
  • Heightened emotional reactions
  • People pleasing
  • Feeling low, despite practicing self-care
  • Struggles to set boundaries

If you resonate with any of the above, I can help.

I work collaboratively with clients to uncover deep issues that may be preventing them from living the life they desire. I aim to help you slowly unravel the different threads in your life, all while gently working with your attachment system and historical traumas.

It is common that across the life course, negative narratives/beliefs about the self are developed, and can start to impact our daily functioning and closest relationships. Unravelling these deep rooted narratives is a core aspect of my work.

I consider myself to be a holistic practitioner, which means I will account for all elements of your daily life in our therapeutic relationship, and the work we do together. When appropriate, I provide psycho-educational information on mental health and its effect on relationships with self and others. My clients often report that understanding why they are feeling certain feelings and where these are rooted, is a helpful step in creating a new path forward.

Above all else, I strive to assist individuals in improving the most important relationship in their life: the one they have with themselves.

Areas of Care

I support indiviuals and couples to move toward healing for both "big T" and "little t" traumas, including, but not limited to:

Big "T" Trauma

Accidents & Life-Threatening Events
Serious accidents, natural disasters, physical injuries, and life-threatening situations.

Abuse & Interpersonal Violence
Physical abuse, sexual abuse, assault, domestic violence, and witnessing violence.

Medical & Health-Related Trauma
Life-threatening diagnoses, emergency surgery, frightening medical procedures, and birth trauma.

Sudden Loss & Traumatic Bereavement
Unexpected death, suicide loss, homicide, witnessing death, or losing someone in traumatic circumstances.

Severe Neglect
Prolonged failure to meet essential physical, emotional, or safety needs, particularly during childhood.

Little "t" trauma

Relational Trauma
Betrayal, repeated rejection, relationship conflict, emotional manipulation, and broken trust.

Attachment Wounding
Fear of abandonment, inconsistent caregiving, emotional disconnection, and difficulty feeling safe in relationships.

Childhood Emotional Neglect
Feeling unseen, unheard, emotionally unsupported, or unable to express feelings and needs.

School & Peer Experiences
Bullying, exclusion, social rejection, humiliation, and friendship breakdowns.

Loss, Change & Life Transitions
Divorce, moving, friendship endings, career changes, financial hardship, and loss of belonging or identity.

** Trauma is deeply personal. These categories are intended as a general guide, not a measure of how serious an experience is. Experiences often described as little t trauma can have a profound and lasting impact, particularly when they are repeated or occur without adequate support. **

To heal is to touch with love that which we previously touched with fear.
